Revive

Wellness and Relaxation

Step away from the hectic pace of life and take time to revive your body, mind and spirit.

We created Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat to be a place of beauty, peace, privacy and rest. The clear, starry skies, ancient glacial landscapes, fresh mountain air and vast open spaces of the Aoraki Mount Cook region inspired our wellness philosophy: Celebrate the power of optimism, make time for reflection and cultivate an active, engaged perspective on life.

Our wellness menu draws inspiration from our indigenous land and culture. Our treatments are based on holistic therapies connecting our guests to their Wairua (spirit) and to our natural environment, encouraging a sense of Hauora (wellbeing).

Mind, Body and Spirit

Wellness, rejuvenation and renewal inspires everything we do. Go beyond a refreshing yoga session or a relaxing massage. From our fine cuisine created from fresh local ingredients, to our private stargazing explorations of the universe, you’ll find infinite possibilities to revive your mind, body and spirit.

Our stay at the Retreat was memorable and the highlight of our 5-week trip to Australia, New Zealand and Japan. The views from our villa were breathtaking of the surrounding mountains and on the walks in the grounds there were beautiful vistas of Lake Pukaki and Mt Cook. The Retreat has everything, luxurious accommodation, beautifully designed and furnished interiors and your private hot tub for gazing at the stars. Kaye, Luke and all their staff were a delight, nothing was too much trouble. You can dine in the luxury of your own accommodation or enjoy dinner hosted and entertained with other guests in a baronial dining room. A choice of home grown food was available for breakfast and dinner – from the garden, with meat and fish sourced locally and cooked exquisitely by their chef. A hidden treat was the observatory Luke has built in the grounds with the opportunity to gaze at the the night sky totally unpolluted by electric light.
